Merrie Bakker has pursued and practiced holistic health principles and studied preventative health therapies intensely for the past 25 years. She believes passionately that cellular dis-organization, disease and imbalances can be prevented or reversed gently with therapies that include nutrition (and including terrain theory, ortho-molecular and pleomorphic concepts where necessary); ontological and emotional healing work (with German New Medicine principles when appropriate) and with modalities such as Emotional Freedom Techniques and NLP (neurolinguistic programming) and using hands-on-healing such as Reiki and reflexology for those people inclined to embrace energy medicine.
Combined with care, knowledge and monitoring, clients are encouraged to rebuild, re-nourish, detox, and resolve or tweek their lifestyle and above all to stay knowledgeable and not to resort to guesswork or to rely on advertorial mis-information or pharmacological dis-information or online nonsense.

Her personal health education has been evolving for the past 25 years, starting with live blood analysis, nutritional education and microscopy studies as a result of her own serious health challenges that were not resolved but worsened by standard medical care.
When her late husband saw her intense enthusiasm for these new options and interesting doors that were opening, he bought her a unique, top-of-the-line microscope for live blood analysis. She has practiced microscopy ever since – darkfield, live and peripheral blood analysis.

Her continuing search for quality, holistic knowledge has included European Biological Medicine, North American holistic nutrition, German New Medicine (neither German nor new) and oxidology work. Her teachers were the best:

In her youth she completed Lyceum in The Netherlands and then came to study fine arts, science and architecture at UBC in Vancouver, Canada and never left.
She founded and edited the hardcopy and the online health magazine The Healing Journal.
In addition to her nutritional microscopy / blood analysis / oxygen-ozone practice, Merrie teaches Reiki, Dowsing and Reflexology classes; writes in-depth health articles; and teaches exclusive live blood analysis classes.

We use a high quality, advanced American Biologics research microscope in our work, so that we can give you a proper preventative, predictive evaluation, revealing an early warning for imbalances in your biochemistry, your pH, your bioenergetic and immune systems so that we can educate and rectify any unhealthiness and tendencies towards illness or disease.
We emphasize early correction and avoidance of what can become a later health crisis. We recommend lifestyle changes, supplementation, possible medical intervention, naturopathic testing and education (so that you can integrate detoxification, rebuilding, emotional clearing and state of the art therapies offered by other professionals) and only when needed.
We are driven by the philosophy that focuses on the need to know the origin of an illness or imbalance, rather than to look for a compilation of symptoms that suit matching meds and supplements as bandaids, before beginning any rebalancing – an approach towards rational, natural, biological healing.
