How do I know if the vitamins I’m buying are synthetic or natural? Helping or Interfering?
The Organic Consumers Association has published an ingredient chart to help consumers identify natural vs. synthetic vitamins. Many vitamin producers want you to believe that you are getting a “natural product” because it seems more wholesome to take “natural” vitamins. Unfortunately, vitamins can be labeled as natural if they contain as little as 10% of the natural form of the vitamin. This means that your “natural” vitamin could contain 90% synthetically produced chemicals!|
(B-Vitamins and Vitamin C are also usually synthetically produced.)
- Vitamin A: Acetate and Palmitate
- Vitamin B1 (Thiamine): Thiamine Mononitrate, Thiamine Hydrochloride
- Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin): Riboflavin
- Vitamin B7 Pantothenic Acid: Calcium D-Pantothenate
- Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine): Pyridoxine Hydrochloride
- Vitamin B12: Cobalamin
- PABA (Para-aminobenzoic Acid): Aminobenzoic Acid
- Folic Acid: Pteroylglutamic Acid
- Choline: Choline Chloride, Choline Bitartrate
- Biotin: d-Biotin
- Vitamin C: Ascorbic Acid from corn products
- Vitamin D: Irradiated Ergosteral, Calciferol
- Vitamin E: dl-alpha tocopherol, dl-alpha tocopherol acetate or succinate
NOTE: The “dl” form of any vitamin is synthetic. The ‘l’ form in an oil type supplement is usually natural and the ‘d’ form is often synthetic.
AND A BIT MORE ABOUT DYES IN OUR FOOD:
In most European countries foods with dye in them are labeled with a warning? These dyes are known to cause pancreatic and liver upset, behavioral issues, foggy brain, gut and nervous system disruption and possible weight gain in children? In North America manufacturers may call these ‘natural colours’.
When a manufacturer adds these dyes to “foods”, then the ‘natural flavours’ may be suspect, too, and the underlying food that they have been added to could also be less than the best and suspect – a few or a complete bunch of toxic chemicals? Every food we eat brings us closer to HEALTH or closer to DECLINE. Food laws do not require anything labelled “natural’ such as flavours and colours to be natural at all as we, the public, understands the meaning.
AND A BIT ABOUT INTERACTIONS of these toxins with pharma-meds:
The effects of some toxins in foods, supplements and extracts on a drug’s permeability is generally minor. Flax seeds (as opposed to the oils) can decrease the permeability of some drugs a tad, except verapamil (as found in only one study – so not solid evidence). Purple loose-strife and pine decreased verapamil’s and metoprolol’s uptake. Rosemary and oregano extracts enhanced furosemide permeability.
Companies change hands for many reasons – but we, the consumers, are not aware. Follow YOUR money.
Further removed from our thinking yet more and more common is the use of insects for flavour and colour (and for acclimatizing our palettes for the future virtue-signalling foods). There are many articles now online on how wonderful and astounding these are!
As well, we have the UN / WHO allowing us a few hundred grams a month once we are happy and own nothing, as our only protein source once we are ‘re-organised’ for sustainablity once the Great Reset has been achieved – well documented at their main Agenda 21 websites.
You may want to read more on Senomyx – a large American biotechnology company developing and marketing additives to amplify certain flavors and smells in foods – and includes fetal cells used for many things (some waxxxines) and we are to believe the fetal cells are not from abortions… hmmm… if not, then from miscarriages?
